Pam Gardner, a prominent Northern Beaches artist based in Freshwater since the late 1960's, has developed a vast collection of works, ranging in theme from poignant villagers from war torn Africa to bright native Australian flora and fauna.   Her skills in watercolour, acrylic, oils, pastels and mixed media, have lead her to develop a collection which appeals to people of all backgrounds & artistic sensibilities due to the various stylistic depictions & interpretations of her diverse subject matter...


Having travelled extensively throughout Papua New Guinea, Thailand, Argentina, Ukraine & the Philippines as a missionary from 1993, Pam experienced in Uganda, the horrors of the Sudanese genocide first hand, & her African paintings depict the beauty of life, trying to survive in a world filled with death and destruction.

Pam commenced painting in 1989 & was mentored by well known Australian watercolourist  Rae Andrews,  later studying with Paul Warner, Lyn Butchart, Leeka Grunsdef, Val Kemsley, and Herman Peckel.   Pam's works have been entered in numerous art competitions & exhibitions around Australia, where she received awards & accolades from her peers & the general public- specifically winning the Peter Campbell art award by public vote in 1995, 1999, & 2004, an award only permitting winners to enter every four years.   Her works have been used in promotional material & official invitations for local awards & exhibitions, including the Warringah Art Awards.



In addition to exhibiting her work in galleries & competitions, Pam has been regularly sought after to paint on commission, with her paintings being bought by both local Sydneysiders & overseas patrons.   Her native flora & fauna prove very popular with tourists & locals alike with a keen interest in her Pelican & Waratah collections.
